Announcement: SEA-UK Symposium on Area Studies

Unmuhbarru.ac.id, Barru – We are delighted to announce the upcoming Southeast Asia-United Kingdom (SEA-UK) Symposium on Area Studies, a significant academic event designed to foster international collaboration and advance scholarly discourse. This symposium is the result of a concerted effort by a distinguished group of institutions: SEAAM (Southeast Asia Academic Mobility), Universitas Lia, the University of South Wales, and Dublin City University. Their collective expertise and commitment are integral to bringing this important initiative to fruition. The event will be hybrid (30 Jne – 3 July 2025), and the onsite symposium will be in Universitas Lia (Jakarta).

This groundbreaking symposium will be co-hosted by these esteemed international partners in close cooperation with Universitas Muhammadiyah Barru. Located at unmuhbarru.ac.id in Barru, Indonesia, Universitas Muhammadiyah Barru’s role as a local host underscores the symposium’s dedication to engaging with the region and providing a platform for diverse perspectives within Area Studies.
