This seminar brings together young leaders from Europe and Southeast Asia to discuss and collaborate on pressing issues facing the region. The keynote speaker, Prof. Dr. Christian Kaunert, will deliver a talk on “Counter Terrorism in Europe”.

The fostering of collaboration and exchange between young leaders from Europe and Southeast Asia is crucial for addressing the complex challenges facing our interconnected world. To that end, Universitas Muhammadiyah Barru is proud to host the Europe-Southeast Asia Young Leaders Seminar, taking place on March 22-23, 2024, in Barru (hybrid), Indonesia.

The program hosted by Universitas Muhammadiyah Barru and Indonesian Universities Consortium on Social-religious Studies (IUCSRS). The consortium is initiated by Dewan Pendidikan Kabupaten Maros, and four universities in South Sulawesi.
